Representation of Accumulator “Conscience” in English and Russian Language Consciousness

Abstract

The article deals with the investigation of accumulators verbalized by the lexeme conscience in two linguistic cultures – English and Russian. The analysis of representation of accumulator "conscience" has been conducted in English and Russian lexicographical sources. It has been established that in the English language consciousness it a more rational feeling, which can be controlled, and in the Russian linguistic culture the conscience is a moral and ethical concept, something external to the human body and soul.
