Abstract

Crimean judicial registers of the Khan’s period also known as a kadiasker's book were discovered long ago. The first description and the first translations of these texts appeared at the end of the XIX century. However, the true idea of the content of the cases, the historical and philological value of the monuments arose quite recently. From the point of view of linguistics, they still remain poorly understood. One of the topical issues is the dialectal identification of the language of the Crimean school books. In many of the parameters that are defined in this article, the language of documents, including many elements of the Ottoman literary language, also reveals many elements of local Crimean dialects. Such elements include words denoting suits and breeds of horses, names of household items, geographical names, etc. Separately, it is necessary to mention the morphological features of participial and participial forms of verbs. In a number of cases, they differ from Ottoman and indicate the influence of local, Crimean dialects. All this makes it possible to characterize the language of the Crimean sidžils as a Crimean version of the Ottoman language.
