Museum Excursion Guide Text from point of view Cross-Cultural Communication

Abstract

This article explores issues of intercultural transfer in museum texts from a cross-cultural pragmatics perspective. Communication is a universal element of human interaction, which can be thought of in the most basic sense as form and content, but also in terms of intent, success or failure, in terms of its social consequences as well as power relations, and in terms of ideologies in general and those of communication in particular. From a cognitive perspective, communication is shaped by the world we live in, while from a social psychological perspective, communication shapes the world we live in. The basic conditions for successful cross-cultural communication, the specific of museum`s practice are considered. The condition of overcoming barriers of communication in the space of museum are investigated. In article some new forms of the organization of museum space and methods of work with museum audience are considered.
